In 2010, Bay Area Cabaret reopened the historic Venetian Room after it had been "dark" for over 21 years, with a program by Academy, Grammy, Emmy, Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize -winning composer Marvin Hamlisch. At our fundraising gala, we will celebrate Mr. Hamlisch and his music on what would have been his 69th birthday. Featuring an all-star tribute that will include his close friend and collaborator, Academy Award-winning songwriter Alan Bergman, Tony Award-nominee Karen Mason (Mama Mia!, Sunset Blvd.), Phantom Of The Opera star Lisa Vroman, Grammy Award-winning musical director Billy Stritch, and many other surprise guest stars!
